The Southside Internship is a leadership development program designed specifically for young men and women who are looking to discover their God-given purpose, strengthen their faith, grow their leadership ability, and receive invaluable first-hand experience in the local church and community. Interns will have access to a unique gospel-centered discipleship opportunity by working closely with staff, church members, and fellow interns to gain a deeper look into what it means to build real followers of Jesus Christ and see how to make it real easy to go to heaven from northeast Georgia.

  • Upcoming high school seniors, graduating seniors, and college students, and young professionals. Our internship is made for those who are considering ministry as a vocation as well as those who want to grow their faith and leadership ability in order to glorify God in life.

  • Summer Schedule: May-July

    Fall Schedule: August-December

    Spring Schedule: January-April

    (Start times will vary based on school completions)

  • An intern will commit to serving 10-20 hours per week, serve the church with a thankful and generous heart, and according to each intern’s gifts, skills, and experiences. He/she will be assigned to a specific area of ministry and pastor/director. In this area of ministry, the intern will report to his/her supervisor weekly. The intern and supervisor will meet regularly for coaching, training, ministry projects, etc. Other assignments will be given during the internship such as Scripture memory, Bible reading, prayer time, and additional books assigned. All interns will also meet monthly for further development with the lead pastor.

  • Gives evidence of consistent and growing devotional life to Christ.

    Displays a great attitude.

    Support the overall vision and direction of the church.

    Participate in the evaluation process.

    Be flexible and prepared at all times to do tasks that support the ministry of the church.

    Participate in intern training by discussing book content, praying for other interns, and growing together spiritually.

    Respect and submit to the authority of the supervisors/pastors and the Intern Coordinator.
